YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK YOUR STEEMIT WALLET PAYOUTS NOW

in #steemit8 years ago

I was just looking through my payouts in my wallet today and noticed there is a problem with steemits payout system. I don't know if this is the case for everyone, but I am willing to bet most of you have not even checked.

So I have had 9 payouts and not a single one has been for the amount that I was supposed to receive.

Payout #1 was for my (Hi I'm Halo) post
The payout was supposed to be $4.25 and I was actually paid $6.118 an over payment of $1.868. I was paid $2.121 in steem dollars and $3.997 in steem power. I know what you are thinking, why would I complain about getting more then what I should have received. As the story goes on you will understand.

Payout #2 was for (Introducing Myself Again) post
The payout was supposed to be $.06 and I was actually paid $.073 an over payment of $.013. I was paid $.03 in steem dollars and .043 in steem power. Again a little more then what I was supposed to receive.

Payout #3 was for (New Pic Hope You Like It) post
The payout was supposed to be $.28 and I was actually paid $.273 an under payment of $.007. I was paid $.137 in steem dollars and $.136 in steem power. Just a little less then what I was supposed to receive, but sitll an under payment of .025%.

Payout #4 was for (Pic #1) post
The payout was supposed to be $.11 and I was actually paid $.095 an under payment of $.015. I was paid $.054 in steem dollars and $.041 in steem power. Just a little less then what I was supposed to receive, but still and under payment of 14%.

Payment #4 was for (STEEMIT GIRL HALO part 2 7/17/2016 photoshoot) post
The payout was supposed to be $.13 and I was actually paid $.087 an under payment of $.043. I was paid $.065 in steem dollars and $.022 in steem power. Again a little less then what I was supposed to receive, but still an under payment of 33%.

Payment #5 was for (STEEMIT GIRL HALO New Pics 7/17/2016) post
The payout was supposed to be $77.79 and I was actually paid $51.084 an under payment of $26.706. I was paid $38.895 in steem dollars and $12.189 in steem power. This was a large amount not paid to me, this was an under payment of 35%.

Payment #6 was for a reply on (STEEMIT GIRL HALO New Pics 7/17/2016) post
The payout was supposed to be $17.06 and I was actually paid $11.202 an under payment of $5.858. I was paid $8.529 in steem dollars and $2.673 in steem power. An under payment of 35% again.

Payment #7 was for (STEEMIT GIRL HALO Video Verification for everyone who thinks i am a scammer) post
The payout was supposed to be $19.20 and I was actually paid $12.449 an under payment of $6.751. I was paid $9.599 in steemit dollars and $2.85 in steem power. An under payment of 35% again.

Payment #7 was for (STEEMIT GIRL HALO Just Hangin In The Back Yard) post
The payout was supposed to be $.62 and I was actually paid $.397 an under payment of $.223. I was paid $.309 steem dollars and $.088 steem power. An under payment of 36%.

Payment #8 was for (STEEMIT GIRL HALO Photoshoot 7/20/2016 Part 2)
The payment was supposed to be $.76 and I was actually paid $.484 an under payment of $.276. I was paid $.379 in steem dollars and $.105 in steem power. An under payment of 36%.

Payment #9 was for (STEEMIT GIRL HALO In My STEEMIT Clothes) post
The payment was supposed to be $55.15 and I was actually paid $35.456 an under payment of $19.694. I was paid $27.575 steem dollars and $7.881 steem power. You guessed it an under payment of 36% again.

I realize we are not talking large numbers here with my payouts, but the point is the payout system is not paying me what I am supposed to be paid, and if you are one of the whales like @berniesanders , @dantheman, @dan or @ned it would amount to alot. I don't know if it is just mine or if anyone else has noticed this or has even checked theirs. Maybe they did not think I would notice it, since so many people on here are making rude comments about me. They are saying I can't read or write and some other things, fact is I am smart, I can read and write. I choose to post pictures, I like my pictures and other people do also. Anyway , according to the steemit white papers the payouts are supposed to be payed out in the form of 50% steem dollars and 50% steem power and you can see by all my numbers above none of them were paid out this way.

In conclusion I would suggest all steemers go have a look and see if you are receiving the correct payouts and if they are in the form of 50% steem dollars and 50% steem power. I do not know if the founders , which I believe are @dan and @ned know about this, but I can not find any way to contact them. I would also like to suggest there be a way to contact someone with problems like this.

Thank You,
STEEMIT GIRL HALO @halo

You were paid in SBD and Steem Power. If you're going to look into Steem Internal Market here: https://steemit.com/market you will see that at the moment the value of Steem Power is $2.984925 so the Steem Power value you see in the payment it's the value in the market at the moment of payout.

Payouts

When a post is receives a payout it takes the form of 50% STEEM backed dollars, SBD, and 50% vesting STEEM.

You can find more interesting details here:

Late edit (i'm sorry):

I do not know if the founders , which I believe are @dan and @ned know about this

You can be absolutely sure they know about this, they programmed it that way.

I would also like to suggest there be a way to contact someone with problems like this.

Just do a post with the issue, there will be always someone to answer. But I'll recommend you to read first some docs and, why not, the whitepaper (I strongly recommend to start with the whitepaper).

The rate used in the steem wallet are not the open market rates, steem wallet says it uses a trailing average

I disagree the price of sbd and steem on bittrex at the time of @halo first payout and @halo last payout are almost the same so I don't see how it could be 35% less on her last one and 31% more on her first.

Who said anything about bittrex ?
When her first post payout recurred she received

halo author reward: 0.765 SBD and 0.008M VESTS for @halo/hi-i-m-halo
10 days ago

Please observe that the Steem value were about same with the SBD value.
That was her first payment at a market value of 0.0035 BTC (converted in USD at the BTC-USD for that moment).
Total payment for the first post

total_payout_value 4.341 SBD

was split between multiple payments of different market value for steem.

As the Steem market value is increasing, and thinking that 1 SBD ~ 1 USD (maybe a bit more) and Steem market value at this moment is $3.85 please do the math for yourself.

So again please read and try to understand before disagreeing.

Edit: please try to vest now some SBD to Steem Power and see the rate of conversion.

Or I might be wrong, please someone correct me if so. :)

OMG. I quit.

$55.15 her payout should have looked like this.
27.575 in steem dollars and 27.575 in steem power

What is the value of Steem in Steem Dollars ?
Answer yourself to this question and the enlightenment will come upon you.

Edit:
From the well read white paper:

The terms of the convertible note allow the holder to convert to the backing token with a minimum notice at the fair market price of the token

As per your "pertinent" comment:

people need answers from the founders , not from people on here who may or may not be trustworthy or even know what they are talking about

let me answer it like this:
The founders have added everything a common user needs to know in the white paper and release documents and in the source code. You can find the answer to all of your questions there.

You cannot see that in the source code then:

It is your responsiblity to review the code or hire someone to review it for you.

No piece of paper can be folded in half more than eight times by human hands.

I have read and understand what you are saying and I still disagree. I have read the white paper and I do not see anywhere in there about what you are saying. In my opinion everyone here replying to @halo post about this is just guessing me included. That said I still disagree with what you are saying in my eyes if her last post was supposed to be paid $55.15 her payout should have looked like this.
27.575 in steem dollars and 27.575 in steem power . I believe the market value is already figured in to the payout before it is payed out. I watch the price of peoples payouts fluctuate when there is no voting taking place to change it. And your comment about just ask someone on here for an answer is not subpar , people need answers from the founders , not from people on here who may or may not be trustworthy or even know what they are talking about.

so you tell me what was the value of steem in dollars on her first post and what was the value of steem in dollars on her last post. and you tell me why the first post was payout closer to 50 50 ratio and the last payout was not close at all

@razorwave8 please do your own research in the market. This way you'll understand better.

I have and I come up with they are about the same price at both payouts that is why I don't agree with what you are saying , you may be right , you yourself even said you may be wrong . I am just trying to get the correct answer for sure and this is exactly why they need to have a way to contact them everyone on here has an opinion and who's opinion is correct im not saying I am correct , I am just saying I come up with the value being almost the same on both post and one was paid 35% less and one was paid 31% more , one was paid at a ratio of amost 50 50 and the other was pad out no were close to 50 50

"The payment was supposed to be $55.15 and I was actually paid $35.456 an under payment of $19.694. I was paid $27.575 steem dollars and $7.881 steem power. You guessed it an under payment of 36% again."

You were paid $27.575 Steem dollars, and 7.906 Steem power - not valued in dollars, but valued in Steem. Right now, www.coinmarketcap.com values those Steem at $3.67 apiece, which makes about $29.01.

You haven't been underpaid; it's just that you need to check which currency the payments are made in, and account for it.

Have a good one!

I disagree the price of sbd and steem on bittrex at the time of @halo first payout and @halo last payout are almost the same so I don't see how it could be 35% less on her last one and 31% more on her first.

Yh I see what you mean but I've noticed my posts fluctuate in value over time, I think @lindee-hamner is right

I guess i don't agree if my payout shows i am getting paid 77.79 the price of the market is already figured in. I should recieve 77.79 not 35% less

i have another issue that some videos that i upvoted a few hours later it showing no blue upvote icon on them.

I think that happens after the payment has occurred to the author

until now i never counting my payout, because my payout is just a little, but the first reason is cause i'm still learn about steemit system

Thanks for the exhaustive post.

@halo Brains and beauty that is a dangerous combination. I only have one payout but it is also short 35% of what I was supposed to get. Mine was also not paid out in the form of 50% steem dollars and 50% steem power.

Price of steem dropped on the open market pretty heavily. Your estimated payment are made in steem not SBD, it's not until it's actually paid that the final calculation is made.
Also lots of things can effect your payment including downvotes, or someone spending too much time voting and diluting their per capita votes.

My hello world post was showing nearly $500 USD, I was so happy I cried. When I went to cash out it was $80 in SBD and $130 USD worth of steem.
Turns out that day, whoever was kind enough to upvote me, got into a really exciting conversation on the site and upvoted a bunch of stuff, meaning it counted less for me.

These things happen. Seriously when the whales are gone, your average daily payout will be a bit less than a dollar. So feel grateful you get what you got, because you could be on reddit trying to karma farm right now. :D

Extremely well-worded. This is something that alot of people here on Steemit
do not yet realize is how the system is actually set to work; Along with the fact
that massive cash-outs will not be occurring for much longer.

Very well done and I think many have the same question but I fear they will not receive an answer that will be understood or makes sense
