STEEM is climbing like crazy - thoughts and next steps to further the platform and value...
Hello Steemians,
Over the past few days the value of STEEM has skyrocketed! This may seem like just a pump and dump but I believe people are actually seeing the value of the Steemit.com community. Now what we need to think about is the next steps and attract some bloggers and social media personalities with name recognition.
If bloggers realize the potential that Steemit offers they will flock to the platform along with their following. One way we could do this is with Facebook and Twitter campaigns to promote the Steemit platform. I have never seen an ad for Steemit.com and believe that those outside of the cryptocurrency community may never have the chance to learn of Steemit unless we reach out to them.
I easily see STEEM as a top 5 crypto currency if we push to reach a wider audience and promote the Steemit.com website. Please feel free to brainstorm ideas in the comments section!

you can reply on popular facebook posts with things like "with this amount of upvotes you would have made 100 USD worth of Steem"
I like the idea. The only issue is finding the right balance of not sounding like a scam and getting people genuinely interested. A lot of times people assume comments about some service are just someone spamming and ignore them.
