Dear Steemit, It is high time to look into this before you fall off the cliff of success

Yes you are reading it right! Steemit has lost its readers. Before you take a judgement call on this take time to read this. First things first, I am someone who has been writing content for 3-4 years now. And i am an avid reader as well. Like someone who can sit for 6 hours continuously in one place to finish reading a book that intrigues me to read. A book which holds me up for so long will be special and a great feeling to read as well. So if you are someone like me you will realize what am about to write and tell. This article is something about the feeling in a article written, a story told rather than the value in terms of the dollars it earned.

Off late I have seen, and even I have done this irritating thing where I kept poking people asking them to read, comment and up vote my articles and i would return the favor by doing the same. A lot of people around do the same set of things. 90% of the time is spent in asking people to help you whereas only 10% of time and effort is invested in writing a good content. And then we have the result! Bad content makes it to mainstream success and great articles get sidelined and earn no penny.
We didn't need and want another social media platform if the intention was to make the already popular more popular or the already rich more richer!

Having said that, do I have a better alternative to help change this? Nope!! I don't. But I do have suggestions to improve the way this thing works. All the rich people out there who keep giving steem dollars in the name of give away and payback to the website, just sit back and relax for once and think what better can be done. It is not money always that helps some millennial grow, it is support for good content which does it. Let me tell you this money rich businesses have come down in time when people realized it is just money and nothing else that has made the business great.

We need to get better in terms of work and when I say work I mean content. The right content and talented writers need to get the attention that they deserve. So yes!! If you are a big fish in this market of superheroes of steemit you have a great power. And remember what Uncle Ben told, "With great power comes great responsibility Son!" You have the responsibility and power to choose the right people and to make correct choices. The ball is in your court. Please be wise to hit it in the correct direction
