RE: How much can you earn by Upvoting yourself, Can a better Reward be given to those that upvote others?
Your calculations are not entirely accurate... or lets rather say, they are true assuming lots of things. For example, that STEEM price does not change, peoples weight on each time you vote is the same, you SP does not changes and your voting power is always 100% when you vote (which is very hard do achieve).
But well put view of the monetary system.
The calculation itself was done to show that you can double the amount of Steem power you have more or less
And it was done as mentioned to ask for a better rewards for those that upvote others
I think a better way would be for the upvoting to be fully understood. Since simplifying it would likely be very hard without causing collateral damages. But I agree that sometimes it's hard (even for me) to understand at first sight (without checking stuff on the blockchain) if my vote will influence how much I want.
Maybe instead of having something like a slide bar, it would be more intuitive to put something like a prediction... saying, how much value of your maximum value (estimated 24/7) you would like to put, instead of the value in form of percentage.
Ok... time to request for an enhancement to steemit (anyone can do it). This was actually great discussion and made it's point to improve. Be right back...
EDIT: Done! Here is the request.
Well done
Keep it up
I am your new follower
I saw so many posts Done by good Authors where everyone jumped in and said it was a lovely post and very helpful, but only half of them have upvoted or less
Hmmm
Agree on this.
Or the new situation where the author does not upvote the comments of its followers anymore
Well, upvoting comments has the same meaning as posts for me. With one difference. You may wish to upvote posts to bring the post to top, or to express that the comment is the most important one.
