What we can do to grow steemit
Steemit is growing ever so popular, with posts on reddit to billboards around the world. However, while the popularity is growing fast, we need to change the direction of Steemit and fast.
What needs to change
When you first come to steemit, the trending page is filled with the most popular content out right now. The content however, mostly pertains to steemit, and not content that you would get at places like Reddit and Twitter. What we, the steemit community need to do, is find content that the mass consumer would want to see. This would not only grow steemit in terms of people, but also in the actual viability of steemit. So lets get on out there, and start posting good content!

I wish there was a bot that told top posters on reddit about steemit, similar to the bot that messaged everyone in r/bitcoin about etherium a while back.
There is a hard fork tomorrow night that is changing some things that will likely have some impact on the trending page. Changing payouts from 24 hours to 12 hours, which will cycle the trending page faster. Also adding a 30 day payout so posts that are hidden gems can still get paid on later.
