How To Power Up Your Steemit Account With Wirex And A Credit / Debit Card?

Couple of days ago I wrote an article on how you can withdraw your Steemit currency using the Wirex Plast Card. Today I'm going to show you how you can use Wirex and a credit / debit card to buy STEEM or SBD to power up your Steemit account. In order to buy Steemit currencies you don't need to order their plastic card and the Wirex free basic account is sufficient. The below tutorial also works for USD and GBP.

I find using Wirex to deal with cryptocurrencies is one of the most convenient, fastest and cost efficient ways. Ok, let's get to it:

1. Sign up for a Wirex Account
2. Go through their verification process and continue once your identity is approved.
3. Go to your Litecone Wallet on Wirex
4. Press Add Funds & Click Credit/Debit Card
5. Fill in your card information
6. Now you can choose the amount of Euros you want to turn into Litecoins (min is 25 Euro)
7. Once the transaction went through the purchased Litecoins will appear in your wallet
8. Now, if you want to power up your Steemit account, go to your Steemit wallet and press on the STEEM drop down menu and choose BUY.
9. This will take you to @blocktrades . From the left input filed choose Litecoin and enter the amount you want to transfer to your Steemit wallet
10. Under there, where it says receive address put in your Steemit username
11. Now press "Get A New Deposit Address"
12. Copy and paste the address and head back to your Wirex Litecoin Wallet
13. There press send funds, copy the blocktrades address in to the "Send To" field. Fill out the amount and then press send funds
14. Transfers take between 10 and 60 minutes - they will show up on your Steemit Wallet under the STEEM section. From there you can power up your account using the drop down button
