Today is women's Day, and I ask my self if people have reflected the significance beyond the traditional concepts and clichés of women "construct" that prevails today in the imaginary of modern commercial society.

(...) We are exhorted, said Beauvoir (1949): "Be women, remain women, become women." Therefore, every female human being is not necessarily a woman; It has to participate in this mysterious and threatened reality that is femininity. Is this femininity secreted by the ovaries? Or is it fixed at the bottom of a platonic sky? is the Frou-frou of a skirt enough to make it descend to Earth?

I don't think so... Dawn and read everywhere "Happy day to the most beautiful of the world " "Girls just have to take eyes to get what we want " "Publish a dress in her day, that makes her happy ", does it make us? Who? I get what I want by using my intellectual strength and my happiness is not in a dress, but in freedom of thought and in the recognition of women not as objects, but as social subject with identity.

Women's Day is one of those anniversaries in which I feel really strange because everyone is responsible for making an apology to the physical beauty of our genre. They congratulate us because we're "beautiful." It seems that being a woman is summarized to the figure, to the external, to the biological, for that part of the society we are just a thing whose value is in the appearance and go clarify that not in the natural, but in the acquired one. None of those who congratulate me talk about the struggles of indigenous Latin American women, or women who raise the voice for equal work in every corner of the planet, none of the people who come to me with a rose make me commemorate the tragedy of Triangle Shirtwaist. And yes, you'll probably say I'm a feminist, and I get it, because if you see it this way, having an opinion makes me different from what it's supposed to be. But in any case, today is not a pink day, it is an eminently political day. So I don't think you need to congratulate me today, because if you do it under this superficial perspective, then I'm not a woman, not the woman you want me to be.

¿A quiénes?

@bronevik greetings! Thank you! I am gonna check @afrosiab account

Nice writing! You are right in that being female does not make someone a woman. She must become a woman as a person. The same is true for men. For a man to be a man it is more than being male. He must step up and "be a man".

Totally agree @spencercoffman. Have a great day

Very well written:) Have you tried Zappa?

@mydivathings Thank you so much, dear. No, what is Zappa?

Sorry i meant to say Zappl. Zappl is like Twitter running on the steem blockchain. Try it :)
