With this post I would like to suggest a feaure that I believe will improve the experience for new (and probably some existing) users of this our beloved platform (yes i'm new but i love it already).

Topic Follow

Here's the case for it:

If you are new to steemit with no idea who to follow but with a clear idea of what you like, being able to follow a set of tags and topics is great way to start getting you eyes across great content and great people, to get your experience faster and enjoyable from the go mark.

Yes I know you can allways click the tags or topics you want and then read, find a few interesting profiles, follow them, wait for them post and then Voila!! your feed is getting refreshing content for you.

I just believe that there's a faster way to action that doesnt undermines the purpose of the platform while enhancing the experience.

How could it look:

Basically it consits of a plus or follow icon besides the topic name in the top bar when you are seeing an specific topic and another one to appear when hovering over a tag on the sidebar (similar to how the flag icon appears when you are hovering over an article or comment)

I hope to hear what the community (specially you) thinks about this and how can we make it reach the steemit team.
