Is steemit really decentralized.

I joined steemit with lot of enthusiasm that i am will a part of decentralized blogging, how ever after use it i doubt if steemit is really decentralized ??

Decentralized means everyone having equal opportunity and no one in specific controlling the content but as a community together.

But here in steemit it very obvious that most of the content are controlled by the admins. Admins can pin the post on the top and can control the flow of the content.

Also in a blockchain if a content is created it stays that way for ever, but here in steemit we can edit the content as per our wit and will even after the block was long created.

So is steemit really decentralized?? Or, am i missing something here?? Willing to learn and know more.!!
