RE: 🐦 STEEMTIPPER 🐦 Join ME LIVE May 5th For A #STEEMTIPATHON

The concept mobile money transfer is nothing new I my country really, we have had it for the last 10 years. We have a platform called M-Pesa that lets you send and receive money straight to your mobile phone. You essentially would have to go to an Mpesa agent to withdraw it to real time money. So I can understand why you'd be excited about such an initiative.:)

I am looking forward to seeing this explode. Hopefully it does.

How does this work though?

Introduce people to Steem! They don't need a Steem account to accept Tips. Tips are sent to their Twitter account. And they can login, collect it, tip others with it, or sign up for an account.

Does twitter have wallets now? Or how would they receive it? Curious.

Great post @omitaylor, I can tell you are indeed very passionate about what you share. Continue winning my heart over one post at a time. I hope my meagre upvote helps to further your initiative.

Sincerely,

-Elsie.

Steemtipper.com acts as a proxy wallet for those people on twitter who don't have a Steem wallet. If they don't set up a Steem account, they can just use the tips they receive and claim to tip other people. If they do set up a Steem account then they can withdraw the Steem to their wallet. I think in the near future they are going to add additional platform bots and possibly even account creation.

So basically you can just tip to whomever you want on twitter. If they don't login and claim the tips within 7 days, they're refunded anyway. If they login and claim them, they can keep them and spread them or set up a wallet.

Thank you for the clarification Omi.
This is somewhat exciting for the twitter heads. It's amazing to see this platform developing in so many ways!
