Steemit: The Ultimate Procrastinating Vessel. How Steemits promise of productivity is adding to my decreasing interest in my university studies...
PROCRASTINATOR'S UNITE!
So here it is, me, the ultimate procrastinator, I procrastinate so hard that it’s productive, and I’m under the influence of steemit! Steemit is just one of many excuses I use for myself to steer away from long winded papers about psychology practice and theories. To all the other university goers out there that attend a two semester year, this is our week back, which in third year means assessments straight away! Fwwarrrkk. So yeah... Hey everyone!!! I can't be the only one, if I am not in the mood for study I just can't.
I thought it would be interesting experiment to blog about as to see how I feel about this day in the passing weeks when even more assessments are due . Picture me yelling at my computer screen, f**** you past Kate! You had a whole day off! Why couldn't you just sit down and study!
The following is basically a quick summary of what happens when I don't want to study, I even phoned my work to see if they wanted me to work on my day off...
I had the most productive day in a long time, my university lecturers would not agree with that statement. Procrastination is fine, but I don’t do things by halves, I go all out to make excuses not to be studying. First of all, I cleaned the whole house, which is an obvious procrastinator excuse.
Then the fish tanks needed cleaning, all THREE of them, and of course one of the filters was broken so I HAD TO go out and buy a new one and play around installing that making sure it’s right for the fish of course! Then I’ll study…
While I was out of the house I though I might save another trip to town later and get a haircut.
Oh look at that! Washing! Better do four loads of that before I study!
It’s that time of year again! Better get my tax done before I do my study!
Look at it, all that information sitting on my couch, waiting to be absorbed, mocking me, intimidating me!!! I will get you one day, but oh, my friend just rang and I have to go fishing instead…
So what do you guys do when you're supposed to be studying? And how can I convert this productive energy to study!!!
Wow, you still got a lot accomplished while you were procrastinating. As a fellow college student, I also procrastinate quite often. My usual excuse is either, I need to walk the dog or I need to go to the gym. If I am not leaving the house, I will get on the computer and try to find out how to make a zillion bucks, which I never do. Also what ends up happening while I'm supposed to be studying, is I will be trying to create the next Facebook. Yes I am a programmer, well sort of.
I wish I could be as industrious as you, then all my chores would get done!

Welcome to Steemit:) ...I use to have a few Oscars!!..they were crazy ass fish, one decided to kill the others over a period of about 6 months, one by one i would find another dead one until there was only him and a cat pictus (Pimelodus pictus) that would hide all day under his wooden cave in fear of the almighty OSCAR!!!...Have fun on steemit!
Yes I've got an albino Oscar and black Oscar sharing a tank. The big guy in the photo is best friends with a black goldfish actually, they're all got their own personalities but unfortunately most of them are straight up killers haha
