Climbing the Steem reputation ladder, Pay It Forward
In trying to understand the entire Steem system, how posts profit, how the different types of Steem can be leveraged one thing is apparent (Steem/ Steem Power, Steem Dollars). Reputation. Without adding value your posts go nowhere, without engaging the reader your posts go nowhere. Bring something new and inviting to the curious reader.
Keys to success:
1. Be original, don't rehash things already done.
2. Have engaging images that lure the reader to your post.
3. Stay active, comment often, and vote often.
4. Vote Early on posts with a high chance of becoming popular.
5. Draw traffic to your site by sharing it on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc.
6. This is a pay it forward system, be nice, vote for others and they will reciprocate.
I'm still learning, but so far these feel like the keys to success. Good luck to everyone, I have read some amazing posts.
I think paying forward will be the most valuable aspect of this. It seems like a lot of people that managed a big hit with a post take that money and run, never coming back to vote up the other small fish. Hopefully this will change and things will balance out.
