RE: A new initiative for minnow support - DelegateForADay
Hi @revo, come out with the rules and we'll follow, so if a minnow (or anyone) pledge to delegates 35 Steem for a day (and only a day), the approximate equivalent is delegating 5 Steem for 7 days (actually compounding it would be 35.x ....but we're rounding down for this initiative, so don't mind the math)....the point is you can make it multiples of 7 (or whatever divisible by duration of total delegation period).
Or say some one want to participate with @delegateforaday pledges to delegate 35 Steem, at least 1 day a week(we could all take a break from voting 1 day a week....a healthy Sabbath neh?) for a month OR equivalent to 35Steem delegated 1 day, approximately once a week (4 days a month). This still works out to be 5 Steem a day, then they can delegate for 1 month == 5 Steem a day, Once a Week....Whatever, However, Whichever, There is No Limitations But Our Imagination.
It doesn't matter if it succeeds or fail (with creative criterias culminating to combustive outcomes....the failure will still be spectacular, insightful and lead all of us, especially you to 10 more new ideas)....at the end of the day, it only matters because you took action, fail forward fellow Steemian, we'll assist you.
I foresee someday Steem-Folks (new term recognizing collective Steemians) surpassing Facebroke having thousands of fails a day (at any point they run thousands of variants of Facebroke), Amazon 10s of thousands of fails and test a day, and Googling with 100,000s of thousands run any any particular time.......SteemFolks will someday have millions of test and failures happening daily, imagine the global impact.

Thanks @dj123. This is a good approach to overcoming the SP delegation "pause" if indeed it is the way un-delegating works.
Even if we didn't fiddle with the numbers, I think the delegation "pause" isn't a major concern. The reason is that my first intention with this service is to get mostly minnows donating SP delegation to @delegateforaday. And as us minnows know, it doesn't really make much difference if we have SP at the low levels we possess it at. Over a week, my 110SP earns me about 10 cents of curation rewards or thereabouts. Minnows aren't going to miss their SP for a week.
Of course, I was also hoping to get some larger players and whales on board too, and I'd still like that to continue even if there is a "delegation pause". Hopefully they will see the benefit of such a minnow support project that they will be ok to forgo a week's earnings on some of their SP. If this is too big an ask from them, I would consider running the Delegate For A Day project less frequently so as to make the "loss" for them less of a concern.
