First week on steemit my say on it

in #steemit7 years ago

After spending a little over a week on steemit. I do have to say it has really huge potential like potential to be the next google. It might seem kinda strange that now despite steemit is still a really tiny platform around 900,000 users I think. I could be wrong. But I'm going to go over 2 things on why I think it might be successful in the future.

No ads or donations are necessary

One unique thing about Steemit is that Steemit has a really new and revolutionary system which is well the complex system of the steem dollar and steem coins. Which I'm still trying to figure out. But it is something really intresting. With youtube and twitch you need around the 1000's range to make a dollar. While on steemit you really only need like 5-20 people to get that amount that money the only difference is that its cyrpto currency. Also one of the problem with advertisers is that youtube with there "ad-pocalypse" and demonetizing ads on videos with bots demontzing content that sometimes arent even meant to be demonetized. Plus I feel like youtube was bought out by advertisers. Plus the really strange thing is that every video youtube demonetizes they lose ad revenue too. So the advertisement situation with YouTube is a double edge sword every time the bots demonetizes a video it hurts both you tube and the creator. Sometimes I wonder if the YouTube employees are sitting on there chair and sniffing glue all day long makes you wonder. With the donations part basically all you have to do to support a persons work is to up-vote them which is helpful but if you think hat the content is really good and deserves more you resteem. However I think you can donate using steem money plus its optional if you want to promote someone else's work. Which is really nice

Reputation point system

The reputation point system I think is a genuis idea. Why? well lets take a look as I like to call and just made up "content creator inequality" basically on YouTube twitch usually there are the big channels and the meduim channels and the small channels. Now a big channel usually does not usually promotes the small channels or a blogger or any of that type of stuff and have hundreds and hundreds of annoying people saying "please subscribe" "please give me a shoutout". Now on steemit I think its really different story. It is a possibility that creator A has a reputation score of 78 could upvote creator B with a reputation score of 29. It's possible but when that happens he has a possiblity of getting noticed and in a rare cases on the frontpage of steemit this type. It takes care of the shout out problem of hundreds of people nagging to give them a shoutout. Plus the person with the high reputation score can help others if there content meets there standards of good quality content. It gets rid of the terrible content.

So that's my say really I do think that steemit/dtube/dlive/dmania/ D whatever the hell else steemit owns. It has alot of possibility's and this website is at it's infancy. Its a really good website and I will continue to post my artwork and animations and maybe some other stuff in the future.
