One Practical Advice to Succeed On Steemit or Similar Platforms

in #steemit7 years ago

We all learned that just putting a piece of content doesn't get us anywhere. Of course writing great or creating a good content is important. But, there is more than that. Marketing side that we need to study... We need to study bots, resteem services, other big names, all the jargon etc... It's not a one night stuff. It's a long process. As i said; we need to study to find out what works what not. And here is the advice:

Whatever you do or wanna be on Steemit, wherever you wanna be on it; until you figure it out, you have to keep adding content. You have to my friend. Your posts are the only metric to see your results. These articles, pictures or videos are the ones that brings bread to home. Whatever you learn, you have to practise it creating a content straight away to see if it works. To reach the point where you wanna be quickly, you have to do it every single day. Your posts may not be visible by more than 10 people. But it's not a reason to not to create. Especially at the first stages. Constancy counts in this game.

Repeating: To be a Rockstar on Steemit, you have to put that few words together everyday. You have to record that 5 min long video every single day. You have to make that meme for dtube everyday. No day off! How do i know? Just look at the big names, succesfull stemians. They do it everyday. Every post counts. Small at the begining but it gets bigger every now again. To make it fun, not a torture; you have to create stuff around whatever you love or have knowledge about it. Yeah, the takeaway on that little article is keep creating everyday. You can't lose in the long term by doing it that way.

Being persistent is super important. I want to post something everyday. It doesn't always have to be a full blog post, but it can at least be a picture or resteem. This gets momentum and keeps your followers engaged.

Honestly, I don't like the idea that people should post daily pieces of nothingness. This just adds to the noise and makes the problem just worse for everyone. Steemit needs to come up with a self-regulated mechanism to encourage people to post less not more!

Content creators should focus on fewer but better posts. A five minute daily update on how you brush your teeth - just to get you follower base to blindly upvote - will not benefit this platform!

True, but being persistent can help improve your content. A 5 minute daily update on how you brush your teeth may sound useless, but if you can write it in a way that is humourous or engaging, then you are adding to the platform. When you post something, it is important to try and add something to it that is an improvement from your previous posts. Don't just post for the sake of posting.

true words. 100% agreed.

thanks for your comment! I was about the replay your response but @kenanqhd explains my thoughts in a perfect way in the comment section, i can't agree more. Btw, i've checked your profile and enjoy some of the posts. I'll definetely visit your page quite often. Have a good one.
