Engage with other posts on some type of content
Get a reputation for creating that type of content, while still engaging others
Eventually a whale sees your stuff, likes it and off you go.
Only problem is your stuff has actually be interesting. I mean, there's no formula for that. Perhaps the audience you appeal to doesn't use steemit yet.
That's something I have been thinking about too. That's why I only have been posting about one passion of mine, cryptocurrencies and not yet about something I've been at for way longer, music production. I feel like the people that like my music aren't on Steemit yet. But I'll test it out this week by writing posts about my music :)
