Mabuhay Steemit! - DarylSid11, the Man from Manila

Been working and studying Steemit for barely 3 months and already had some solid insights about it yet I have not properly introduced myself to the community so I guess this is the right time considering the long holiday break and as well to expand my followers and gain traction for the platform's well being.

Before anything else, I wanna give a huge shoutout to our gurus @purepinay and @surpassinggoogle for they were actually who fore fronted the benefits and advantages of Steemit respectively in Manila as well in Cebu which is very integral to the entire Steemit PH community's development. Their unmatched leadership and solid experience gave us bread crumbs left on our starting journey. They had been launching several conferences within the country and I can't wait to personally meet them and have that first hand experience and gain more fruitful details from them.

My name is Daryl Sid Samonte, 31 years of age. I graduated with a degree in secondary education, major in History. I had a three year stint of teaching for three years. It was indeed a short yet colorful journey molding and guiding young lads but I just had a sudden change of heart and test the waters on a different sector. Currently, I am a customer service professional team leader from one of the leading BPO companies based in the Philippines. I just had my six year anniversary last September 2017. Well, it was not indeed a tough road waiting for the good stuffs but I guess, being a teacher and having patience gave me a long run and thrive on it. After waiting for more than two years, I got promoted already and at least had a taste of that success fairly on my own terms. Our products and services mainly cater on one of the leading US financial institutions specifically with Visa/Mastercard credit card fraud prevention. Better watch out then! I guess Steemit and the rest of the block chain community got flaws so I am actually just observing and perhaps in the long run, I may be able to find some and provide feedback for the good sake of it.

Outside of work, I am a beach bum(whenever I got time to get out of the city). My love of the sea started when my family had to relocate in Cebu way back 1999. To go out with the setting sun on an empty beach is to truly embrace your solitude. I guess I look my best when I'm totally free, on holiday, walking on the beach. This photo was actually taken in Boracay, one of the major travel spots of the Philippines so if you visit us, it's a must to reach this place especially for the party goers and social network animals. LMAO.

In addition, I am a hardcore basketball lover. When we talk about it, it's like the major religion here in the Philippines. Everybody is like always in the church man! Every corner found here is like literally bee seen with a customize court and ring to it. The sport itself serves as one of my go-to stress relievers. Every Filipino has that hoop dreams and I am glad I am able to reach it(if not professionally) by simply representing my corporate affiliation. Moreover, I am really into wellness and fitness so the sport has been really giving me that boost with my health. I can definitely say it really is the number one sport in the world(in my own opinion).

Aside from my normal job, I am a new entrepreneur and working on my digital affiliate networking company based in Arizona, USA which is a travel and lifestyle membership group which offers discounts to potential leads and prospects for barely a year and running.No one ever said it was easy being an entrepreneur. Whether you're in the early stages of your start up, just secured funding for your startup or you are ready for product launch, there will always be those three components when you ask yourself if this whole entrepreneur thing is worth it. I am really glad that joining it was one of the breakthroughs of my career since it opened a lot of opportunities to my continuing learning and met a lot of smart individuals in the social networking world.

Here is a photo of me and my fiance, Shiela Marie way back 2015 when I had to pull off some strings, performed alot of crazy acts just to make it official. We will have our 3rd year anniversary this upcoming February 2018. You maybe wondering why I used the term fiance coz technically, I am engaged to her because she is a Muslim due to their religious practices. As a raised Catholic, it was indeed quite a challenge for both of us to work with our differences yet here we are. You can't stop that real and sweet enduring relationship when love and hate collides. As the saying goes, a successful relationship requires falling in love many times, always to the same person. Guess God is still working wonders on us until now and I couldn't ask for more. She is not aware of this and what I am busy right now yet I guess she have gut feelings already that I am doing something crazy again in preparation for our upcoming life event. Who knows Steemit can be an added foundation to that. That' ll be monumental then.

Why Steemit?

I got a first taste of this platform months ago and simply observed how it works. I really fell in love with the community not because it has indeed opened a lot of ventures to everyone in the wake of the block chain technology but for the following reasons:

A. Enhanced Blogging- which actually has always been one of my notorious social media networking habits since time immemorial, was awaken to a leash. It is always a great time sharing your views to the rest of the world and gaining feedback from others to drive your improvement. How awesome is that?
B. Monetization- NOW THIS IS THE NEXT LEVEL THING. Steemit had indeed raise the bar from the conventional blogging system into adding the rewarding comments and posts with secure tokens of value. I am still to get use how to get compensated with mine but that's the least thing I am looking into. The transaction process of getting paid and earning are just mind blowing in this system.
C. Content and Relevance- I am really fascinated with the idea of cryptocurrency and although I found some loopholes on it versus the stock market/trading system , I do get the potential of this in years to come. It may be debatable and questioned of some legalities yet you can't stop the advancement of technology. As what the great late Steve Jobs said, " Technology is nothing. What's important is that you have a faith in people, that they're basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they'll do wonderful things with them."

To wrap things up, I am really looking forward to simply produce worthy and valuable blogs for the community. That's what matters to me above anything else. And as we end up 2017 and prepare for New Year 2018, let me end this with a saying from one of world's renowned masterminds,
