ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Federal Cabinet under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is underway.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will take federal cabinet under confidence in keeping the JIT report and the political situation in the federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Thursday.

In the meeting, the demand for resignation of opposition is being discussed as well as the current political and economic situation.

Federal cabinet also approved appointment of MD of Sui Nadir Gas pipeline company and Member Oil.

Hafizabad: A district alert has been issued to all the departments by the medium flood in the river Chenab at the place of Qadirabad Barrage in Hafizabad.

Due to severe rains of Kashmir and upper areas, there is a medium flood in the river Chenab.

At the place of Qadirabad Barrage, the cost of land is 69 thousand while the emissions are one lakh 37 thousand cusecs, while the arrival of water at Khanak's location is 1 lakh 78 thousand and the expense is one lakh 70 thousand cusecs, medium floods at the place of Qadirabad.

Deputy Commissioner Hafiz Abhalaalullah Dutt Vishich directed all other departments including Rescue Double-One Double Timothy Health, Livestock, to stay alert with immediate emergency.

6 Flood Relief Centers across the district, besides 12 boating points, set up in 2 control room centers in Hafizabad Opposition Bhatti.
