Mental Illness - How Millions are Scarred by this Devastating illness. With Your Help We Can Help the Sufferers!

#Suicidal Thoughts, low self esteem, sleeping throughout the day to block out pain, withdrawn from Society, breaking up relationships, feeling of helplessness # ...... these are some of the devastating stuff my childhood friend Jane goes through every single day.

It all started at her workplace 10 years ago and the stress just got out of control. So Jane went to see her Doctor and was prescribed heavy anti-depressants, without even being given a chance to talk about her emotions. Maybe a walk in the park, a drink at the bar, session at the gym, doing some yoga or going to the cinema may have actually helped her but now the profit making capitalist Doctor only looked at his self interest with the nearby pharmacist that supplied the anti-depressants for life. This is big business. After 1 year, the side effect of anti- depressants made Jane put on 3 stones which led to high blood pressure and other complications. The end result of this terrible illness transformed Jane from a fun loving girl into an introverted and mentally disabled person with serious side effects. She is now on 8 different tablets. It breaks my heart to see her like this.

Why are Doctors and the Medical Profession not recommending other alternatives rather than these serious life destroying drugs?

The bottom line is money. Simple solutions don't cost anything but get someone hooked on meditation and you've got residual income for the long term.

What can be done to raise awareness for mental health sufferers?

I need to raise funds to get a web designer to create a website to prevent new people from taking anti-depressants and trying the different things yoga, gym, walking, chatting with friends etc. I can educate people through Jane's 10 year experience suffering in silence and I can also share my own story of how I saw the darkest episodes of my own life and what I did to overcome depression. Your funds would be used wisely to fund this important issue that faces every single one of us as you may have a friend or family member who is suffering in silence. This website blog would be a ray of sunshine for thousands of people. When the website blog is completed, it would be posted on here for people who have faith in this noble cause. I strongly believe in Karma and am totally passionate about helping those who need our love and support.
