Starting an Upvote Pool - Join for More Upvotes & Repping up Faster
Preface - The reason I was motivated to start an Upvote Pool is because I am tired of being underappreciated and earning a few cents on posts that would take me a full day to write each with a lot of research and effort. So I figured, work smarter not harder is the best way to tackle this problem. And it's not just me. Steemit is a great platform, but let's be frank, the curation system is broken and there are only a few on this platform that are able to make a killing while the rest of us (90% of the platform - or minnows) get scraps.
Structure of Upvote Pool - This is very simple. I am making a discord group chat that you can feel free to join. In the discord there will be one page, where you can share your posts.
Rules: Very simple. When you share your post in the Upvote Pool, countless others will upvote you.
You have to upvote everyone back. Just check your post upvotes in the 48 hour period after your post and check the people who upvoted you (everyone - EVEN if you are unsure of whether they were in the upvote pool). Check their post history and upvote their latest post or two.
Do not just upvote people who upvote your posts!! Upvote others posts before they upvote you so you will get their upvotes as well!!
This way, you are always upvoting people who upvoted you back, and you are always upvoting others with the trust that they will upvote you back.
This Discord Chat will be capped at 500 people. We will use a trust system, however if you are found to violate the rules you will be banned from the discord chat and we will have your steemit username so you will not be allowed to abuse the system. I hope this upvote pool will be a hit with minnows and that we can all have a simple but effective system in raising our curation rewards, repping up faster and become whales quicker!

I don't mean to rain on your parade here, but in my experience when I was a newbie and such upvote pools were proposed, the result was people spamming lazy content or outright plagiarizing in order to get more votes and game the system. You will probably need to monitor the pool idea carefully to support quality original content and promote those who deserve a good reputation.

The reason I am creating this upvote pool is because I find that there are a LOT of great content creators on the Steemit platform who receive poor curation rewards and who have low reputations. On the flip side, I find that there are alot of content creators who put out lazy, unoriginal content and make it to the trending pages through the use of a million upvote bots, clickbait titles or just because they have hefty wallets and find this extremely unfair. I see your point of view, but you need to understand the minnow's point of view as well.
I want to help accelerate the progress of budding content creators who want to succeed on Steemit but need a better support system and incentive to keep up their great work.
I completely understand the minnow struggle. As Steemit grows, it's harder and harder to be discovered by a wider community of supporters. Between the spammers, the plagiarists, the bots, and the bid buying, it's quite chaotic now compared to when I joined. I will try to keep an eye here and see if good content creators turn up.
