Steemit Basics - How to Resteem
For those of you new on steemit you have probably seen people saying "I will resteem this...", but wonder what is resteeming and how do you do it. Simply put, Resteeming is very similar to sharing a post on Facebook. It posts on your "blog", but is technically still the post of the person who you resteemed it from (see below)
In order to resteem, all you have to do is outside the post, you will see a little bent arrow (as shown below). Once you click on it the post is resteemed.

@cryptowallet I do not see the Resteem bent arrow at all. Do you know what has changed or if I'm doing something wrong? Thanks for helping.
You cannot resteem a post more than 7 days old.
Just im searching on youtube How to resteem in steemit.com after that i thought why not to search in steemit.com plateform only thn i got this post Thank you cryptowallet giving knowledge about basic things. also thank you writowrong for your comment now i get idea how to resteem.
Is there a way to do it with the command line? Why 7 days? Who chose this? How is it enforced? Why?

Can you say more on how you (we) can make an expired re-steem time frame happen once someone like you is contacted? I think I'll look you up and perhaps follow you based on this reply on how to re-steem.
That 7 day rule is ridiculous because there are already too many posts to see and research in one week.
There are a lot of new users on Steemit. This kind of story is very helpful. Thanks for sharing it!

There 's no resteem button though. Is it because I'm still new? I really want to resteem some articles I found that interest me.
Yeah, I have the same issue. Maybe I am dense, but I can not figure out how to resteem this post.
I understand that if I saw the post on @cryptowallet's profile page there would be a resteem button (looks like a "U-turn" symbol). However, there are a lot of newer posts on his profile page, and this one is buried.
I tried the search function on steemit.com, but that just produces a link back to this page.
There ought to be a resteem button made available within a post.
