Why isn't steemit laid out like Reddit?

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

I hate the "tags" is there a 3rd party app that will make steemit more like reddit as far as subreddits go to subscribe and read THAT TOPIC?

Or could we at least have a way to order the tag page by payout or something so that we can find topics that are the most popular on a subject? You might want photography then see photos, camera, pictures, etc... I need a way to see what the most popular topic is so that I can monitor it... and still wish there was a way to subscribe to "tags" if we are going to call them that.

Also would be nice if you could sort tags by trending or popular and then choose a timeframe like Reddit. I'm really missing these things and it's why I have to keep going to Reddit. I come here and all I ever really see is "how to get a whale to like you" "what do whales upvote" "everyone is going to leave Facebook" I really wish I could set stricter criterion of what I see.

i lol at the last part about the whales

It's true, though. lol
