Steemit Does Not Accept Tags for Posts That Start with a Number, Why?

My previous post was about 3D Printing a Steemit Token and the most obvious tag that I wanted to include in that post was #3d-printing or #3d-printer as I have provided a 3D STL model I made for other members that might have a 3D printer to print if they like it...

I have discovered however that steemit does not accept tags for posts that do not start with a letter, but a number instead. This has probably been done as some sort of precaution, however it is also creating a problem for anyone that wants to accurately describe any post that includes #2D-something or #3D-something and so on. So I believe that tags starting with numbers should be allowed on steemit, what do you think?
I can apparently use tags in revers such as #printing-3d or #printer-3d, but that is not correctly describing describing the post as people will obviously search for the tags #3d-printing or #3d-printer when they are interested in the topic.
@cryptos It has to do with the way tags are parsed. It's a source code thing. You can't start tags with anything OTHER than letters. PRINT3D would be my choice because it also looks a lot like printed.
That makes sense, thanks.
You're welcome, hey since you're interested in hashtags I am talking about them in my latest blog post, I hope you'll stop by and check it out.
They could fix it if they want to.
Variable types can be changed, it's just like switching it from a string to an integer...
maybe the-3D-Printer, the-3D-Printing
How many people will be looking for the-3d-printing instead of 3d-printing, why would somebody add the in front of a tag? It is the same as with moving the 3d part at the back instead of being at the front of the tag.
With tags the more on the spot and the closer to what the reader might think of first is usually the best.
Thanks for the post!!
