It just depends upon what your goals are. I mix it up because I want to build more Steem Power right now. It's nice to have a bit of SPD to use for various things around the platform, but right now, I'm trying to power up. The more you power up, the more your votes are worth both to yourself and to others. But it's also handy to have some SPD.
