Dear Diary: Let Us Learn from Our Lessons and Be Prepared for the Bitcoin Gold
A few months ago I was a bit worried and don't know what to think about this hard fork or bitcoin foking and I thought that I was really in trouble for I might lose some or all of my satoshis. Little that I know that it was just a small deal and that I just have to put my bitcoins in an exchange or wallet that supports the "fork" so that I too can get an equal amount of whatever extra that I will be getting.
So this new fork that will happen on October 25th which will make another free money for those who will be prepared for it will be called a bitcoin gold. I have no idea on how they would mine it but what I am concerned about it how can I get a hold of it once it appears or make a chain for itself after October 25th.
So there are a lot of exchanges that recently in the past have supported the fork of bitcoin and I suppose that they too will support this upcoming fork so this one has more excitement than a worry for me personally and I a just relaxed about it so I am leaving it to the exchanges where my satoshis are at and all I have to do is just wait. If the exchange will give me my bitcoin gold then I will be delighted but if not then it is OK, it is not end of the world.
I tell you what, Bitcoin had rallied, it is because people dumped their alts to buy Bitcoin and some people bought bitcoin. It caused Bitcoin price to jump and thus the rally. So what does it mean? It means that these people are preparing to get their own free Bitcoin gold and many people just learned their lesson that if you are holding some Bitcoins, better put it somewhere that you can get a hold of your very own Bitcoin gold as well.
Hi @cryptopie! Thanks, I have so much trouble understanding the money/crypto/new jargon, e.g. fork/or my own wallet... hahha. Hey I hope things are happening for you, great post, thanks. I just fall asleep reading about how it works, probably because I haven't needed to the money to live, yet. The most I've done is set up a poloniex acct, then tried a transfer to bitcoin, and it transferred to poloniex, but couldn't to btc cuz the amt was too small, lol.
So I hope you have been able to start treatment, and are feeling ok, that you are finding some restful times in your mind, and body. I hope they aren't restrictive with medication, if you need/want them, for patients like they are becoming in the U.S. It's crazy. We have more restrictions now on medications from doctors, that if cannabis was legal, half of the restricted meds wouldn't be needed! Another subject.. just hoping you're well, I for one am going to need your crypto expertise as you write VERY well, and I think you could for the lay-person/beginner on that topic!

Regarding the upcoming fork. The technicalities abut it I am not concerned about but what I am concerned about is how can I get BTC gold which is not that hard.
Just find and exchange a wallet that supports it and put your BTC in there. When the fork happens, then you will get some BTC gold for you to use wherever or whatever you want for it.

@cryptopie The only way to be sure to get it, is to hold your own private keys. But a lot of exchanges are supporting bitcoin gold. But if you want to be sure you need to hold the keys yourself

dont move ur coins to jaxx thats for sure, i did that from poloniex and bittrex moved to jaxx and then found out poloniex AND bittrex gave out all the bitcoin cash to people automatically and JAXX still has not added BCH and told people u cant even move ur coins yet LOL or they might get lost so we have to just WAIt for jaxx and so far jaxx has fucked up so bad people are losing coins left and right go look at the subreddit http://reddit.com/r/jaxx

Perhaps a step by step process posted as a blog entry on Steemit would help everyone worried about getting $BCG. What do you think CryptoPie? Should @futurethinker do a full blown blog post explaining the process he intends to use. I know I would if nothing else reteem it and upvote it. I have already followed him.

Well, to get our BTCGold, we just have to find as I've said, a wallet or exchange that has the history of giving forked coins and put our BTC there so we can get the same amount of for example BTC gold.
I personally will leave some of my BTC in bittrex and wait for my free BTCGold and maybe another forked coin. It's all exciting.

Yeah thats when i was 1st getting into cryptos and decided to wait until after the fork because i had no idea what was going on. I will be doing some researcg to see what wallets will be supporting the fork. Blessings
