If you didn’t read it, you can check it here : How and when to upvote.

Now I’ll show you how to calculate your post reward.

When you writing article, maybe you noticed in the bottom of right corner, a box for rewards where is by default 50%/50%?

What does it mean? It mean that half of post reward will be payout in SBD and the other half in Steem Power. Also you can power up, which means that you’ll receive all post reward in Steem Power or, decline payout if you wanna give all reward to curators.

Well, I don’t know a single person who would decline their payout but ok :)

Let us assume that you choose default 50%/50%. This is payout after 25% curation, and you will receive it after 7 days.

Let’s do the math in example :

If post reward is $10, take 25% out of it for curators, and you have $7,5 for author reward or yourself. Now, half of that you’ll receive in SBD which is $3,75 and other half in Steem Power which is $3.75 divided with current Steem price ( today’s price $1.8), and that is 2.08 Steem Power.

And that’s all the math here. Now you now how to calculate author post reward.

Until next time…

For many new players those kind of contests are great way to start.

Take care, Piotr

Sorry for 2 separate posts in one topic.

I just noticed that you still really have very little steam power. Try to consider powering up.

I've been following many new members of this community and @achim303 wrote today quite a good post which would explain "Why do we need steem power?"
