The Whitepaper is very clear and straight forward. The Platform will be build on the graphene technology which is also used by Steem and Bitshares. They will have SCR tokens and SP also similar to Steem and Steem Power. Unlike steem, there will be outside scources of income from an Internal Ads System / Partner Sponsorships and a Build-in Photobase.
Scorum have an active account on Steemit ( @scorum.community ) and they will distribute part of their tokens in the form of an airdrop to the Steemit community!
We support the audience that is already familiar with a project similar to Scorum and have therefore created a special pool for Steemit users. A Blockchain snapshot will be taken when the Scorum Coins crowdsale is finished. Data will be recorded here. SP tokens from our Steemit bounty program will be distributed equally among Steemit users who participate, with 2x bonus for the first hundred entrants, in the bounty. SP tokens are paid to a public Steem address which can be activated by using personal Steem key
Scorum aims to do a lot of different things all in once. Be a blog platform, provide a betting exchange, offer fantasy sports and statistics,... This is probably be needed to have enough users, but at the same time it goes against specialisation and might scare users away. Someone who wants to bet will likely just use something that is 100% focussed on betting. The thing I am personally looking for are projects that could potentially be use by the betting whales which I don't see happening any time soon on Scorum.
My overall impression on this project is actually quite positive. It will be a challenge for them similar to PredictEV to build up an initial userbase and actually give the tokens some value but outside funding will help in this regard. It is one of those project similar to Steemit where it's probably best to try it out for free and evaluate along the way instead of taking a huge risk of being an early investor. I have just gone over the basics and a lot more info can be found when reading the whitepaper. I will make another post on this project once I tried it out.

Why is it named Scorum? I can't read it without thinking of scrotum.
Graphene seems like a great blockchain, PPY uses it as well.
Seems like it is just Steemit for sports. I think it's going to be difficult to get people to use the platform. Looking forward to your review of it Costanza.

It's not easy to find good names these days.
I agree that it will likely be very hard for all these steemit clone platforms to get off the ground. Userbase is really key and they are by defaut limited to a very specific audience. I personally would be interested in joining them and even put some money in if they reach a point where they become big (similar to steemit)
The risk/reward for putting actual money in early is a -EV gamble I believe.
I'm still looking forward to see how the SMT's actually going to work and if they can result in something similar where Steem Power can be used on.

I suck at drafts/fantasy football, but somehow I've managed to win 40 SCR during the beta testing. The winnings went away with the launch and I had to re-register, but I got the 10 SCR as the bonus for being one of the beta testers.
The SCORUM Drafts works and it's very nicely done. They have some fine programmers and designers on their team.

I'm still not sure how the SMT's work exactly, I assume they don't work on the steem platform.
What I would want to see is a project like this on the STEEM platform similar to Dtube and other apps build on Steem itself.
Actually they do work on the steem platform aka your steem power would have more use :)

I am very new to betting but have been following their blogging platform. They are going live prior to world cup in May, and excited about it.
It's refreshing to see some positive sports betting platforms coming forward after such a long parade of sketchy operators flashing their wares.
I'd be interested in following this one but I'm more excited about PredictEV's offering, right now. With that said, I'll do a bit more investigation of Scorum since they are Steemit users and seem to get the nod from you.
In my opinion this project sounding very effective and effective because it's giving strength to the sports field and i think it's an great thing and will attract many sports community and the another addition is the technology is also related to Steem and Airdrops associated with Steemit.
