The Reasons To Be Flexible -- In Life and Business (Also Known As -- Why The STEEMITVERSE Will Change The Planet)

in #steemit7 years ago

Being me has always been an advantage -- except at times that I had allowed the negative ninnies to derail my plans. When I have faith in myself and I sit down to develop a good plan, Amazing things have happened.

To the outside world, my life looks more like a patchwork of miracles and luck. And I would have to say that sometimes it does feel this way. But reality is that I invest in paying attention to the details around me.

Details, But I Can't Remember Names...

For the longest time, my "family" would tease me that I could not remember important things like anniversaries or when the last time the oil in the car was changed -- Focus, thank you for being a once a year girl. It was alienating to be made to feel like I was dumb.

It wouldn't be until August 2016 that I would stop apologize for being me. Details are in the perception -- I am considered a "genius," but by no means does this mean I know it all. However, the ability to intuit data and turn it into useful information is why I pay attention to the world around me.

Saved By A Chart

I had spent over $500 on textbooks and study guides because I was going to take the Virginia General Contractors test to become a fully licensed general. Why? Because my ex and I had come up with a brilliant idea to buy some land and put modular (not to be confused with mobile) homes on them.

2006 was the beginning of us working on this project, but a chart in the stock market section of the paper did a weird thing...There were 2 lines and they flipped (or later to be called an inversion). I swear that I had seen it before, but could not place it.

While I am not a market gal and really dislike even buying stocks because I still had my nose in a paper, I saved myself from a million dollar bankruptcy.

But What Does That Have To Do With The Steemitverse?

EVERYTHING

There is no way for me to go out into the "traditional" social media and find talented individuals. I might stumble and bumble into one a month, but the amount of great content here as led to some amazing ideas -- and I am not even referring to my ideas. There are thousands and thousands of brilliant Steemit Stars just waiting to be discovered.

Exactly what could I do with all these brilliant Steemit Artists that would propel my income and provide another income source for Steemians?

Retooling

I had a plan for Not Shakespeare's School -- it was to be for low cost classes to help folks soar. Between March 2017 and Early May 2017, I got sidetracked by clients because their money was paying the bills. And when Zeph and I both were sick -- I began to rethink my income sources.

Had I not been paying attention, I would have missed the brilliant artists that deserve to have their work out there. I would have missed the opportunity to share my art flashcard ideas. And most importantly, I would not have decided to offer my courses on YouTube.

Now Not Shakespeare's School is totally centered around the Steemitverse. My goal is to find income sources that will help Steemians grow beyond what "traditional" income sources.

I have rough drafts for about 20 more courses, but this one is special because I FRAC'n wish it existed when Zeph and I were staying in the domestic abuse shelters. Then I could have just passed it out to all the mom's that came to me for advice. If you know a parent in a crisis situation, please share this with them:
