Steemit is a great idea. The problem is, it's only as good as the people using it. I've been having somewhat the same doubts lately. After over a year of posting my art daily, I get little support for it. It's discouraging. I had hope that my blog would "take off" but it hasn't. If it weren't for Curie, some bots upvoting my posts, and a few loyal Dolphins, I'd have given up long ago. Art is always a hard sell so I shouldn't be surprised, really.
I think you are doing really well on here. I always look forward to seeing your artwork 🙂
Thanks @fleur. You're one of very few. My blog is going nowhere. Support for it has been about the same for many months. The number of followers keeps increasing but it means almost nothing because they're all minnows who expect me to follow them back. I get no support from whales. This sounds like I'm whining but I'm not. I appreciate what little support I do get but I'm also looking at it realistically and basing my expectations on that. I'll keep posting, however. I've merely adjusted my thinking about Steemit based upon my experience.
I think success is always relative and that as a dolphin, you are a success story here. I am amazed that you have produced so much beautiful artwork! On a side note, it's a little odd that you have received 22 votes on your comment over and above my vote, as heartfelt as your comment is 🤔
