Your point is valid because real followers will always stay with you. There are follow for follow and upvote for upvote bots here but i refused to join them . Its not ok to attach your follow or upvote link in someone post except it is related to the subject and you want to raise a point or you want to get his / her opinion on a topic you posted. You can , however, indicate at the end of your blog post (like many do) for someone to resteem or follow you -that one is ok including ads for your other posts.
