RE: My top tips after 9 months living on Steem & Steem Dollars 👣
Interesting. I am new and honestly super confused. I have blogs in several niches and people in all of them told me to come here. But I make a living off of those sites. Can I repost their content here? Also, do I have do invest to really make traction? I have played around here a bit, but am trying to see why I would do better here than I do with regular blogging.
If you're already doing well elsewhere, why would you change what you're doing?
Steem may be useful after you test it, but if you're getting results in a different area, you are trying to repair what's not broken. One of my friends tested SteemIt for a month and saw no results. Like you, he was doing well on his other sites. Only add SteemIt if you're seeing success on the platform. As you know, time is expensive - you never get it back.
So run a test. See if you can obtain results. If you have successful sites in niches, you should already have a good idea of what success looks like. No need to rebuild a wheel.
Testing for a bit is pretty much my plan. I figure I will post things here that don't fit well on my niche sites. Mostly travel posts and photography. But I was curious about reposting some related items as well. Mainly items that I think are good but do not perform as well as I think they deserve to perform on my other sites. But I don't want to confuse the plagiarism bots nor do I want to remove them entirely from my sites.
Personally I would give it 6 months as a test! I know time is precious but it is much better to be earning crypto than fiat. And it will be no problem using your existing blog to transfer here. Just make sure you quote your source!
Good to know. Thanks!!!!
The only thing I would add is this: I was making average on YouTube before Steemit and it took around 6months on Steemit before I was doing better here than YouTube. And now, a year on there is no question in my mind I made the right decision. The main reason is because I earn crypto every day now. Not fiat. So, this can be invested easily and grown much faster than the fiat...
