RE: 4.98% of Steemit Search Engine Organic Traffic

You have made some points that I have thought of before.
And who know, perhaps Steemit will implement some changes in the future if this gets discussed enough. Remember that we are still in Beta Stage and there is much room for improvment.

This is a comment that I have made before. I'll just repeat it below:

I wish that Steemit had a way to see posts that have the most views. I've started sharing some of my posts outside of Steemit, and have gotten over 4,200 views on a recent one. And a really old post somehow got picked up and went viral with over 42,300 views. I was pleasantly surprised to see this.

I wish that the number of views had it's own tab like hot or trending, or was at least considered in deciding what is hot or trending.

It is entirely possible that a post could be getting tens of thousands of views but only earning 25 cents. I think that Steemit should try to find these hidden gems, so that some more Steemians could realize that this writer has a lot of interest outside of Steemit and could use some more support from within Steemit.

I also wish that Steemit would reward a certain amount per X number of views. I earned $8.19 on a post with 4,200 views but only 139 Steemit votes. Maybe with each 500 views Steemit could reward an extra 50 cents or so. Then I would have earned an extra $8, which I think would be fair considering how many outside people were exposed to Steemit because of it. I know that a couple of people even decided to join Steemit after reading that article.

It will be interesting to see how Steemit evolves over time.

Thanks for talking about views on Steemit.

I am happy to see such nice suggestions - I can say that if Steemit will continue to ignore the importance of views and unique visitors I will just go away and start a better website with a more fair rewarding system. Disclosure - I am a software engineer

Thanks.
Like I mentioned above, Steemit is in Beta Stage and it is a long, slow process. So at least stick around until it is out of Beta; or if you take a break then check back again in the future to see what has changed and improved.

Things will not change if we don't push - and there's no point to try to change a community that loves whales and ignores traffic and genuine Google ranked articles. Disclosure - by whales I mean big Steemit influencers

You can build your own front end using Steem as backend, like busy.org for example. Doing this you could design the site how you wish and display the content on whole new different way. Could be based on views, comments etc.
