The V6 engine is a V engine with six cylinders mounted on the crankshaft. The engine is in two banks of three cylinders. The V6 has a configuration that ranges from 2.0 L to 4.3 L displacement. The first V6 engines were made in 1905 by the Marmon Motor Car Company. This company was established in 1851 and was merged and renamed in 1933. In 2014, The Formula One season included the return of the V6 engine to its racetracks
