Ahool

Mount Salak, one of the beautiful mountains in Indonesia. However, a mysterious creature also lives there.

This creature is called Ahool. Ahool is said to be like a giant bat or a living pterosaur. The description of Ahool is said to be as big as a one year old boy with a giant wingspan of about 10 feet (3 meters). Living in the deepest rain forest of Java. This creature has a head like a monkey or a monkey with big black eyes. Her body was covered in dark gray hair. The appearance of Ahool was first seen by Dr.Ernest Bartels who at that time was walking along Mount Salak. In 1925 Dr.Ernest Bartels, who was exploring a waterfall on the slopes of Mount Salak, at that time the Giant Bat swooped up over his head.

In 1927, at about 11:30 pm, when Dr. Ernest Bartels lies in his bed in his cabin near the Tjidjenkol river in western Java, he hears a strange sound coming from above his hut with A Hool, and it seems to be getting louder. Dr. Bartels takes a torch and gets out of the cottage. In less than 20 seconds he heard again A Hool's voice. It was a giant bat he'd seen two years ago. Bartels thinks this creature is not a bat, but a giant bird. Cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson is attracted to this creature because, he has also met a giant bat creature but not in Java, but on Mount Assumbo, Cameroon, Africa named Kongamato. Some researchers also think Ahool is the rest of the pterosaurs. Based on his characteristics, Ahool is similar to Javan wood owl (Strix (leptogrammica) bartelsi) which has a face with large black eyes, and a feather that makes it look big, then its small beak. Its own characteristic is to make HOOH sound !! like all the great owls, they scare all the creatures that enter their territory during the breeding season. They will attack their enemies from above and behind. and unknowingly his opponent. In addition, Javan wood owl is a rare bird that is difficult to study.

Now maybe this Ahool is hard to find due to the destruction of the habitat in Mount Salak. In addition, Javan wood owl features are very similar to ahool. has large eyes, covered with grayish feathers, and emits a HOOOH sound that is almost similar to the sound of A HOOOOOL. Now maybe this Ahool is hard to find due to the destruction of the habitat in Mount Salak. In addition, Javan wood owl features are very similar to ahool. has big eyes, covered with grayish feathers, and makes a "HOOOH" sound that is almost similar to the sound of "A HOOOOOL" if it sounds vaguely. (Remember, Dr. Ernest is near the waterfall so the possibility of sound misinterpretation is very high). Chances are. Ernest misidentified. Seen from a momentary sighting state, and with the silent forest condition, a misinterpretation of an existing entity can occur. In this case, perhaps a bird or other animal moving with a voice is heard. Ernest, but because in the forest and the sound of a waterfall, he may have heard wrong. For the second event, identification errors can occur due to the darkness of the night. Dr. Ernest is likely to hear a similar "Almost" sound that thinks it comes from the same creature. Because a mysterious impression caused by the first appearance would have a high impact. If Dr. Ernest is not wrong, then what creatures are actually seen? What do you think about this creature? Until now this creature has not been reported to reappear. And will be one of the mysteries of Indonesia is buried forever.

Good post! very interesting indeed. I am now curious, is it an owl or a bat or a monster? haha
Anyways, if you could pretty please cite your sources you would have a quality post here. Keep it up! If you tag mythology I will most likely find your post and check it out!

it's not unicorn, it's a monster.
I remember my father's story. He said when he was young he was hiking to the salak mountain and at the night, he saw a bat as big as a baby, but his face almost like a monkey.
btw thanks for your advice

there is actually a species of bat that has a 5 foot wingspan! I forget its name tho.
