Do you remember Dolphin Flipper, Alpha & Beta, Snowflake, Orca Willy or Jones the hacker dolphin from the Johnny Mnemonic movie?

Do you know there are a few hundred dolphins here on the steemisfere?

... and I am the NEWEST one! On 11-11-2019

HI THERE....

If you have known these animals, that means only two things: you have met some of the planet's most beloved dolphins that have made it to the big screen, or here on the platform and you already know how sweet they are, just like their relatives who swim in the deep waters of the oceans or steemisfere.

The ancient Greeks called the dolphins "hieros ichthys," which means holy fish. Well there are a few Holy ones here too. They even went so far as to consider killing a dolphin a sacred act and therefore punishable by death. So we here are safe!

So HI to all off you.......

• Dolphins are extremely intelligent, friendly, funny, playful and full of surprises. Well I try too fit in with those qualities. And with such positive qualities, it is difficult to remain immune to their charms. Well I am part-time charming. It is therefore no wonder that Albert Einstein praised them by saying: "There are no question dolphins are smarter than humans as they play more." I love playing !

Here are a few fascinating facts and facts about dolphins I found online: ( need to find out if I can fit in )

• Dolphins can heal themselves well

Dolphins have extremely sensitive skin, so they can easily be injured with the slightest touch of a hard surface. Despite the sensitivity, they have a great healing capacity, even with deep wounds such as shark bites.

• The killer whale is a dolphin

Orcas are sometimes called "killer whales", but in reality they are not whales. Orcas are the largest of the dolphin-like and one of the most powerful predators in the world. With a life expectancy in the wild ranging from 50 to 80 years, orcas can reach up to 6 tons. They enjoy sea mammals such as seals, sea lions and even whales.

So all of you who say I want to be an orca, when you reach the dolphin status you kind of are a #WHALE too

• Dolphins know how to use tools.

It would be an exaggerated statement to call dolphins a carpenter, but they certainly know how to use tools. They use broken sea sponges to protect their nose while they look for food. Tools , tags all the same, know when to use what tag tool !!!

• Dolphins take care of sick family members

It is said that elephants care for a lame herd member as a sign of empathy. Well, we could say the same about the dolphins who often take care of new fish in their group. If necessary, they can help others to breathe by bringing them to the surface. Kinda like the help in @Steemterminal , @heyhaveyamet and @steem-Aide both the accounts and the discord.

The sonar of dolphins is the best in the world

The sonar of the dolphin is the best in nature and is superior to that of bats and artificial sonar. I follow my radar aswell, cant go without that in normal offline life and here on line on the steemisfere. The dolphins use echo location to navigate and hunt, they bounce high sounds from objects and listen to the echoes. Their teeth act as a kind of antenna to pick up the sounds that are reflected by their prey during the echolocation. I yell in the different rooms in different channels but I am a softie underneath.

• Dolphins take turns sleeping their brains

To prevent drowning while sleeping, only half of the dolphin's brain goes to sleep. The other half stays awake so that they can keep breathing. Dolphins are said to be just as smart as monkeys, and the evolution of their larger brains is surprisingly similar to that of humans. Well after the removal of the wisdom from my mouth there is not much wisdom left in the brain but it’s the truth that when I sleep my fellow fantastic staff is around for all the questions !

• The amazing brain of the dolphin

Dolphins are not only beautiful creatures, but they are also very intelligent. By comparing the ratio between the size of the brain and the body, scientists came to the conclusion that dolphins come in second place, directly after humans! The brain of a dolphin is 4-5 times as large as that of other animals of similar size. Well I guess i do know a few things while growing up in the offline life that come in handy right now on my online journey here on Steemit.

• There are 36 species of dolphins

Dolphins are known for their playful nature. Most dolphins swim in the shallow areas of tropical and temperate oceans, but there are also those who enjoy life in the rivers. There are 36 species of dolphins, and playfull yes I love contests and challenges!

So i am going to swim with all of the other dolphins, it’s just another milestone but not a change, it was a goal and today it’s time to set another goal . Before my steemiversary on 3-1-2020.

But Offcourse I will not forget the minnows and Redfish, that has been a passion for so many months that’s not going to change.

I want to thanx my fellow @blockbrothers friends @s3rg3 @exyle @eqko @bennierex and my steemterminal founding leading ladies @xcountytravelers and @thekittygirl from steemterminal , @jaynie and @zord189 from powerhousecreatives AND all of you in all the water in this great sea called Steemit . About 2 years ago I’ve written about the ‘best’ time to submit a blogpost so you’ll receive worldwide exposure.

I came up with the term 4 o'clocky and I thought this might be a great idea to make a blogpost every day at 4 o'clock local time with this title. Every day I’ll submit a blogpost about something that keeps me busy, a challange, a contest or something important enough to share so Lets blog on and See you every day here at 4 !
