What’s good everybody? It’s your boycharlie!

Summer has arrived and I have completely gone deep into my work. It’s looking to be a great summer as Camp starts next week and I’m excited about what’s in store. Taking the time to combine the experience of Classcraft into Roundup has been an awesome experience. I can’t wait to implement blockchain technology into my own club.

For our camp this year I am implementing the use of Classcraft to reward campers in XP or GP. Earning XP or experience points are gifted for actions after Battles, Random Events, or Quests. XP raises the level of a character which unlocks new costumes for the character to wear. GP can be used to purchase the new costumes or Dojo points. Dojo points are part of the ranking system at camp for Camper of the Week and Camper of the Year.

Good Deeds = XP and GP Earned

GP trades for Dojo Points
More Dojo points = More Raffle Tickets

At Camp I have started to use Classcraft and ClassDojo as a camp point system for participating in educational and recreational activities. For 25 minutes of their day I hit them with reading/history or math trivia and they earn points to level up their character. Through singing songs, participating in events, answering questions in battles the campers earn gold to spend on costumes for their character or for prizes out of the Camp Prize Store.
