personal safety in an age of terror

 Hi guys. Today I would like to talk about personal safety, in these times when terror penetrated everywhere, and it is hard to name a country where there was not a single attack over the past 10 years. I live in Israel for 16 years, and can confidently say that almost all of the time, our lives are surrounded by terror, one day I was driving to work and from a clear sky howled air RAID siren, I stopped, got out of the car, and nowhere to hide, I'm near the Park, houses no where to hide, and I sat down on the grass near the car, after a few seconds came the explosion, I saw a grey cloud of smoke , thank God I was far away - 500 metrs, the rocket fell in the street and no one was killed. The second time I was home and my wife bathed our little daughter, she was 8- months, the siren wailed, and the child in the bath, I grabbed a blanket, wrapped her, and from that moment on you only have to 45 seconds to run out to the stairs and descend into the basement , the Elevator was busy, descended people from the upper floors and we sat on the stairs, as the stairwell is in the same protected place like a bomb shelter ,on our staircase has no Windows, we looked up and saw our neighbors , the elderly in pajamas were in shock, they probably remembered the war with the Nazis, children in shorts ,cried all the time, there was an explosion, the house quivered, he heard the sound of breaking glass, the missile fell very close. Several hours we sat in the basement of the house, and only in the morning returned to our apartment. In the morning I left the house ,and saw in the road a huge hole from the explosion ,the fallen rocket was filled with iron balls, and bolts, which broke Windows on the lower floors of our house, opposite our house across the street is a school which is separated from the road by an iron fence , he was like a sieve after being torn to shreds fragments of the rocket. By the evening our gallant city services covered pit, paved road, changed the Windows on the lower floors of our house, replaced a large area of the school fence damaged by the explosion. We went to bed in the clothes, in the event the air RAID to catch up quickly to run to the shelter. Another incident occurred when my wife went for a walk with my daughter in the stroller on the way she met our son who was returning from school, and they went out together, and then, the siren wailed, they ran to the nearest house, and can not go, the doors are closed code system of protection, and then the son kicked in the door and they went inside and then came the explosion , and it became clear that somewhere near the fallen rocket. From this danger it is very difficult to protect, because in appearance it is hard to understand what people were doing to attack you with a knife. To capture this wave of terror, failed when the terrorists began to destroy the place, as well as to apply measures to their relatives to deprive them of their benefits and destroy their homes. But I still get scared not for myself but for the children, wife, and parents who are already retired. And special services here without a strong it is impossible to calculate the human who lived a normal life, worked in Israel and then one day took a kitchen knife and went to kill, they tend to attack suddenly, to the people who are for example waiting for the bus. According to the laws in Israel, citizens do not have the right to carry in the pocket even folding knives, and to permit firearms is not easy, but the terrorists do not comply with laws. I bought a flashlight stun gun, keep it in the car, it's pretty big and carry it with you uncomfortable and I'm not sure that it is effective, because the electric charge weakens over time and needs to be charged. I was born and raised in Ukraine, I spent my childhood in a crime area where assaults and fights were not uncommon, but the fights were usually one on one and you saw clearly who your enemy is, sometimes there is a mass brawl with a large number of participants, for example, when one area of the city fought with others, but then no one was hit in the back with a knife, it was considered a disgrace. For myself and my loved ones has developed some practical advice - how to behave on the street.
• When you walk down the street often look around, pay attention to suspicious people, always pay attention to the Arabs. 

 • If you want to go in the evening, choose a longer route along the lighted streets, don't go the short way, through the dark courtyards and alleys.
• If you are in crowded places, pay attention to where the exit is, in case of a panic and stampede you could among the first to leave the dangerous place.
• If you need to go somewhere in his car, pre-plan the trip, look at the map, and obezzhaet dangerous areas, not pass-by Arab villages, very often they throw stones and bottles of gasoline in cars with Israeli number.
• While on the bus need to move further away from the entrance.
• In case of danger, if you can run away from this place if you can't run, seek shelter and hide.
• If you're standing at the bus stop, get away from the edge of the sidewalk, stand behind a concrete pillar, or any other obstacle, many terrorist attacks have been using the car when the terrorists crushed cars of people standing at bus stops.

Of course you can a long time to write their advice, but as a rule they are few who remember in a moment of danger. I understand that to see in every Arab terrorist is not right, and I worked together with the Arabs on the same machine, we were transported juices in the shops, sat in the same cabin together , unloaded it, and he seemed absolutely normal , sane person who had a family and children. And now I often find myself thinking that don't feel comfortable when there are Arabs. Once we went on vacation to the lake, arriving there we saw that close to us resting a few families of Arabs, there were more of us, a bus and so I did not attach much importance. We swam, sunbathed, grilled meat on the fire, and suddenly we were approached by three year old Arab kid with a huge knife and began to threaten us, shouting something in Arabic, of course, we easily took the knife from him, called his parents, they kept apologizing to us, apologized for the actions of his child, saying that he is still very small. But the precipitate from this case were not pleasant, I was thinking, perhaps they are in his family say that I hate the Jews, and their child just heard it and absorbed their hatred.  Recent terrorist attacks in Europe has shown that with the wave of migrants moved there and members of terrorist groups who not only actively recruit new members from among the refugees, but also actively engaged in the preparation of new terrorist attacks. Events in Paris, Brussels, nice, confirmed that not only in Israel but even in the calm in the old days, Europe was too dangerous and people are afraid for themselves and for their children. I believe that, as in Israel, the guards with guns should be everywhere in all public places, shops, schools, cinemas, airports, railway stations, night clubs, etc. So just checking all before entering, you can feel a little safer inside.
