Quite the job and work Steemit

I had moments in life pretty much like any one else, what would happen if I would quite my job and go to travel or just simply do whatever I want without working in 9-5 routine. I surely don't make much here on Steemit, but I would love to know if that would be possible to earn income on this website.
Steemit community is very friendly to everyone in it, you don't meet very often some trolls around here. So I am looking forward to see what this road with Steemit is going to bring me, may be one day I will quite everything and move somewhere else and live completely based on earnings coming from Steemit. I am pretty sure many of you thought to have same thing.
