Steem Power and Influence
Hello fellow Steemians. After about two weeks here, I am still trying to grasp how the site works. I would appreciate any little bit of help anyone can give me on the following.
I have noticed my votes, even at 100% now count for less than 0.01. What do I need to do to increase my influence and voting power?
I thought I was doing good after a few days I started to received some extra SP as a reward, however, when I claimed this reward I noticed that nothing changed on me end. And the value of SP in parentheses below also decreased automatically at the same time. My question is, do I have to spend weeks trying to get 15 SP to even start to have influence on a vote? It appears that whatever bonus SP steemit gave me disappears as I earn reward SP.
Are there any tips for how to accelerate my pace on steemit without investing money?
Any definite dos and don't dos?

You can see the amount your upvote is worth here: https://steemnow.com/@blaze312 ; for now, it worth less than 0.01, but that doesn't mean 0! The strenght of your upvote depends on 6 factors:
-the amount of Steem Power (SP) you have : in your case 0.905 SP
-delegated SP : 14.149 SP; in your case this is the "welcome gift" when you come from steemit, but anyone can delegate his steempower to another user, usually in exchange for a fee. Together delegated+owned SP give you a total 15 SP.
-the price of steem : on the page I linked, on the top right corner you see a number showing you the value that is currently accepted as the reference point for the value of 1 STEEM. It is not the current price of steem, but an average over 3 days. The more steem is worth, the higher is your upvote worth. This is probably the reason why your upvote went under 0.01: steem fell from around $6 to $4. At current price, the amount of total SP needed to have a $0.010 upvote is 30: I calculated that here: https://steemnow.com/upvotecalc.html The rewards are linear, which means that if an X SP upvote is worth $1.00, then an X/100 SP upvote is worth 1 cent; currently, X=3000. Now, a $0.005 upvote will be approximated to $0.01.
-voting power: well apparently you already know about that. Your voting power decreases when you upvote, and replenishes over time. Note that currently with your 15SP, your upvote is worth more than $0.005 at 100% voting power
-reward pool status: there is a limited amount of rewards every day; if everyone started upvoting more, then to accomodate everyone, the value of each individual vote should decrease; on the contrary, should people start dowvoting more, or upvoting less, then the amount of rewards per upvote would increase.
vote weight: under 500 SP, your vote weight is 100% by default, so it not important for you.. yet!
If you don't plan on investing money, consider spending your rewards on steem power: you already have earned 2SBD, each worth around $6 right now.

You need to possess more Steem Power in your account sho your voting is higher. Either Buy steem Power or lease it from a bot. Or earn it with your written content here.
You get steem Power on curating other posts. Upvoting, it will grow by time.
Writing good articles that are upvoted by others will help you grow in the community.
Only use your own content, don't copy things from the internet, if you have to copy then respect ownershit and use Quotes. Don't spam and aks for upvotes, they will come with good and original content.
