Censorship Function on Steemit Front-end?
Since @steemit censored @thedarkoverlord account, would they be willing to specifically censor individual posts or entire accounts on request?
Say someone doesn't want anyone to read their past posts, could individuals send a request to @steemit to have that done on their front end?
Why not take it a step further and just add a 'delete' function that blots out entries into the STEEM blockchain so it doesn't appear on their front-ends.
Just a thought...
You already can delete some of your old posts or edit old posts. You cannot "delete from the blockchain". Why promote that meme when you know it's not even plausible or feasible?
I think Steemit should make it easier to delete from their front end (as an account owner). If Steemit can delete from their front end some content then the account owner should be able to push one button to have all of their content removed from the Steemit front end. On that feature I think yes implement.
You can edit old posts, which is tracked. You can't 'delete' accounts or posts via the steemit front end.
Reread my OP --
I said nothing about "delete from the blockchain", which is an inappropriate use of double quotations, since I never said any such thing.
See pic related when you attempt to open @thedarkoverlord account via steemit front-end -- you can't do this as a normal account. Why not?
My mistake. In that case I agree if Steemit can do it why can't we control our own account?
