how to create another steemit account without a phone number?
Please note: this article is teaching you to create another new steemit account without a phone number. and if it is your first account, then you have to give your phone number.
Tools you need:
1, your steemit account
2, SteemConnect website
HOW TO DO?
- Open this link
https://v2.steemconnect.com/accounts/create
and enter the username of the new account you want to create, the box will be green if the name is available; or, it will be red. - Save and backup the password(key), if you LOST your password, you lost your new account, and there is no way to find it back.
- Go to https://steemd.com/, ctrl+f, to find the current value for account_creation_fee. Multiply the value by 30. Put this amount in for STEEM. (for example, the account creation fee is 0.5 STEEM, so "15.000 STEEM" goes into that field.)
- Make sure you have at least that amount of STEEM in your current account.
- Click "Continue".
- Sign with your current account, and make the transaction. do not worry, it is safe.
- then your new steemit is created, you can login at steemit.com to check it.

That's how I was able to get on here using steemconnect yesterday by asking a friend of mine on steemit to help get me this account as I was waiting at least a week through approved processes. SteemConnect is the best. Really excited to meet cryptopreneurs here

Hi there,
I'm offering an account creation service. You send 4 STEEM or 4 SBD to @makeaccount with the account name you want in the memo. Then on Steem Chat you will receive the password once you verify you own the account requesting the creation, you should then change the password.
Please check the username is not taken by searching https://steemit.com/@makeaccount but changing the account name to the one you want. If it is not taken than it will say 'Sorry! This page doesn't exist' and you can request that account.
Your account will have 3 STEEM POWER in it when created.
This service is cheaper than anonsteem and blocktrades. If you do not have a steemit account you can send alternative crypto to blocktrades, set the receive address to @makeaccount and then make sure to include a steemchat username otherwise there is no way for you to receive the password.

Still works! I was able to make a new account using this method earlier today. Conveniently, @drakos addressed the current fee a few hours ago on a post he wrote: As of right now account_creation_fee is 0.1 STEEM
Using the math @blacktranquility posted above I made the new account using "3.000 STEEM" and I left VESTS at "0.000000 VESTS"
@gameskiller, I too received the error messeage but realized it was triggerd by my semantics, I had a capital letter in the username. I believe it will also fail if you were to type in a value of 3 instead of "3.000 STEEM" or delete the value in the VESTS field, leaving it blank, instead of "0.000000 VESTS"
