Steemit Experiment meet my Steemit Protest - Have a Pineapple!
If you want to control the votes....Well, don't forget who controls the content.
I spent the weekend walking the streets of Bangkok with my camera finding interesting and original content to share on steemit. I went to an event where elephants were playing polo, ate some amazing food and photographed all the manner of weird and wonderful boats traversing the Chao Praya River.
But will I be sharing them?
No,,,have a pineapple. Its not even my pineapple its some pic I ripped off the web.
Am I going to spend hours writing, editing and formatting this post?
No...
My goal is to write this post in 10 minutes. I mean why spend 8 months building up followers and reputation on steemit so that you can be noticed? A small clique will manipulate the rewards to suit their own agenda.

When this silly little game ends, then maybe expect some decent content, until then don't be surprised if all the mid-level content creators dont post anything worhtwhile...But you didnt consider that did you? I'm not surprised, it doesnt sound like this got much thought at all.....Heh, if you want to hold your own vote thats great, its actually quite noble, but trying to manipulate the votes and rewards of others is lousy...

You are confused, whales are not taking anything away from anyone they are giving power back to the people so that their vote can be worth something. If you have a lot of followers they will have more power and so you will receive more rewards.
it is too soon, In My Humble Opinion. Steemit need to grow up before it can work.

This doesn't tell anything and there is no agenda, the purpose of this experiment is very clear: giving users more influence.
Bullying invalidates any results you may hope to achieve.

One person is free to do with their vote as they wish. However, when a group of powerful voters try to manipulate the market by negating the votes of others. Then that I have a problem with.
Replying here due to nesting. If someone wants to use their vote to cancel out another user's vote, that is allowed.
It is within their right to do so.
And its my right to believe that bullying is not the correct way.
Example: I don't want to vote for a week, and I don't want you to either. Now, if you don't do what I say, I with my powerful friends will negate all your votes to suit our agenda.
If you can't see a problem with a powerful group trying to manipulate results to their own ends, then perhaps you need to re-adjust your moral compass.

I really wish I could, but I've reached my quota of Steemit posts for the day haha! I support your protest though. I've been recently downvoted by a bunch (a school? a flock?) of whales for my post today as well.
PS. It's a "pod" of whales haha
Feels more like an obnoxious "clique". Thing is nobody actually knows how many whales are involved, even those involved. Its a shambles.
