Bitcoin startup SatoshiPay and the Department of innovation, Visa Europe presented a joint project of the cryptocurrency.
From may 5 this year, Visa began the study of cryptocurrency micropayments for devices with access to the Internet. At the same time, the company noted that in addition to the cryptocurrency discusses the use of such solutions as "smart bulbs" that they will pay for their consumed electricity.
As told by the founder SatoshiPay Meinhard Benn, the project is the integration of technology start-UPS in the payments infrastructure (Visa, allowing you to make automatic payments from the account Visa wallet SatoshiPay.
"Our task is to find a safe method of making micro-payments with bitcoin using credit and debit cards," explained Benn.
At the moment Visa want to understand how this technology can be used in cross machine payments and the devices connected to the Internet.
Note that for Visa, this is not the first project associated with the cryptocurrency. Last year the company introduced the concept of payment application, developed in conjunction with Epiphyte.
