Glimpse of an active volcano!

This is the " Volcan Villarica" a volcano that´s still active in the South of Chile.

It is also known as Rucapillán, a Mapuche word meaning "great spirit's house".
Sometimes, you can even see lava coming out the top!

The hike up is about 5 hours long. On your way up you can see ruins of an old ski center that was burned down to the ground during a previous eruption.

From the top, we can see 3 lakes and two other vulcanos. A really majestic view!

The crater is pretty impressive as well ...
