Steemit tools and ways to use Steemit when the site is down.
So Steemit has been down a lot recently and its gotten a lot of people frustrated.
I know plenty of people know other ways to check Steemit but i thought id make a little list of other sites you can use as well as list a few of the tools (good and bad) for Steemit for any newbies who don't know.
Steemit alternatives
So when the Steemit front end is down and you cant get your fix there are a couple options for you still. In fact some of them may even be better than the actual Steemit site itself.
- busy.org
This is a well known and reputable site to use its interface is fairly similiar and nicely done and it even has a section for resteems.
This is the one i use when Steemit.com is down.
- Steemitstage.com
I havent personally used this but its been recommended by a couple of steemians i know. unfortunately it doesnt seem to be working right now but ive heard good things about it.
- you can also use the eSteem app.
There are other sites you can use to access Steemit but always be wary when you need to put in your keys to access stuff. Busy.org is safe to use and has plenty of backing from people here so id try that before any others.
Steemit tools
Steemit has some pretty handy tools you can use.
Steemd.com is one of them, it allows you to check basically anything about a particular account

Steemwhales.com which can tell you how much your acc is worth who the whales are and where they are ranked etc
Deadfollowers which can tell you which of your followers are dead. you can select between when they last upvoted and when they last posted to see if they are just curating or are actually gone from Steemit.
Steemvoter a site that you can set rules to automatically vote on authors posts you like. E.g if you know you like what someone posts you can set it to upvote all their posts 25 min after they post it.
Steemfollower this is a site where you can exchange upvotes and follows for your own votes and follows. Personally i dont like this site at all and i dont use its functions but you may find it useful.

There is far too many there for me to scroll through and research so ive listed the ones i use and know a bit about.

Just posting, I checked the last vote and it said 312 active followers. This is a pretty cool application.

Excellent post. Thank you for the effort you put in. I use one or two of these tools but others I will give a try. I am frustrated with Steemit at the moment. They seem to have a lot of problems.
yea alot of people seem to be atm, theyre having alot of issues on the frontend :/ busy.org is the best alternative though and you can still do everything you can on standard steemit

it seems you're new on steemit, I'm just here to tell you it's frowned upon here to ask for upvote-back... and your comment here isn't giving anything of value to the creator of the post.
I've also seen your latest comments, most of them are spamming the same messages again and again, asking people to follow and upvote you. you'll probably look like a bot to most people. You can write comments that makes the poster upvote you willingly. when you engage in conversation rather than asking for upvotes.

yep lots of people do, more for the newbies that dont
