How high is Steem expected to go by the end of 2018?

We saw a sudden hype in one of the top cryptocurrencies (Steem) in the start of start of this year where it went upto $7.5 which was highest ever recorded. After that it again came down. Currently steem stands at $1.83. 

How high or low can steem go by the end of 2018?

Is it a good idea to Invest in steem for short term? or is it a long term investment?
