STEEMIT 101 | ~#39: Basic Resources to Help You on Steemit. | For All the New People Arriving Daily.
Today I am sharing some tips I gave to a Minnow on one of my posts who asked for some advice.
TLDR: Make GOOD COMMENTS that are RELATIVE to the post you are commenting on.

That is one of the big lessons to learn and practice early on...... many fail here and people READ the comments on their blogs looking for this.
Trust me.
Even go thru 5 of my blogs, pick any 5. I cannot get here as much anymore for replies and curation but when I do, look at the votes I give, to whom and who I reply to.
And most Sr. Steemians do the same.

Keeping my word to continue to share / re-share Steemit 101 type things because I had help when I was new, and we have new users daily who are lost like we were when we were new!
Hoping my regular Steemit 101 / Crypto 101 type posts continue to help all the new people coming daily.

-- at SteemD.com -- it is a Live Tracker connected directly to the blockchain for Steemit where you can check tons of stats, yours and the general platform stats. This link / resource tonite is pretty comprehensive. There are a LOT of line items you can use here and check.
Your stats for YOUR page are easily searchable there too. It is really really good and a resource that stays current and directly linked to the Steem blockchain.
The UPDATED version you will see below, from ~July 19th or so, 2017 when they updated the site, has those changes we just discussed.
Other sites and resources are available and like them --- you can see all the users, see the top / trending Steemit categories and whales, payouts for posts, all kinds of useful stuff.

Please note -- I will have limited internet access for awhile -- so PLEASE do not be upset that I cannot reply right away, or to everyone. I am dealing with some changes, and will have limited time online and will be happy if I get a few blog posts up a week.
This has really upset some people but I do not force my opinions on others, or need to communicate every detail of my life or issues, most people do not care anyways. Thank you @barrydutton for the lessons. Though there are much to learn at once, I have saved to page so I can study it again. Am just two days old on the platform, so your lessons gave me lots of light into the platform. I think the best think is to be consistent and committed. Choose your niche where you are good at - to write and give genuine comments on other's post and with time you will move to the top. Once again, thanks for this enlightenment.

@barrydutton This is a helpful article and thankyou. However I noticed that there is three options when you post an article for Rewards Default 50%/50%, Power Up 100% or decline payout. I am wondering what these do and what are the advantages and disadvantages of them. If anyone could explain it would be really helpful
