We've got an article featured by WIRED Magazine!!
WIRED, an established tech news online news portal and magazine just recently published an article about Steemit and it's underlying working mechanism that is Steem Blockchain.
This beautifully written article written by @andrewmcmillen, who is a Steemian himself! I think i havent come across a better description of Steem written in such a way even everyday people like me can enjoy.
I especially like the word he used to sum up the Steem blockchain;
That's indeed what we are. There's just so much potential in the whole platform, the community, the blockchain, and the promise it brings.
@andrewmcmillen did an awesome job giving a rundown of the idea, history and workings of the Steem Blockchain in the most superficial level, just enough for the masses to be interested. I like how he even shouted out some of our more celebrated Steemians and showoff their acomplishments.
If you haven't read the whole article, you should really do it. The whole thing is here.
Steemit be dolling millions in Cash yo!!
If there is one paragraph i like most from his writing. It would be:
As with any other cryptocurrency, the virtual bubble that surrounds this idea could pop at any moment, and all of that time and effort you’ve invested into earning Steem could be worth nothing—which happens to be precisely the same amount you earn when you post on any other social media website.
"Owh no, Steem is bubble and it popped! Now it's just a good social media that pays me more than Facebook or Twitter ever will!"
With Steemfest2 coming so close, the article couldn't have come in a more impeccable time. Lets give this article the "Steemit Hug of Death" eh!!!
For we all know, with the coming of SMT, this is when we moon!
Stay Awesome Yo!
I'm @awesomianist
Stay Awesome!
Awesome stuff!
yea right? how cool is that! and on such good timing as well!
Wooo awesome! We getting out there!
Almost there!! wont be long now before we hit a million accounts!
A million ACTIVE AND POSITIVE accounts. Not a bunch of noobs referred in by some big dude who only cares about himself.
Regardless of whether people come in by ads campaign, influencers, peer-to-peer word of mouth.. We appreciate any support we can get for now.
For sure.
Yeah, really good news for all of us. What's your take on SMT's? Will people adopt it?
First will be the strong believers of Steem - The Steemians. Then it'll be those few who "gets" SMT. And then we'll see scammers and opportunist because SMTs are magnitudes easier than ERC20 or NEO's platform.
We're seeing Steemit kinda markets itself to the print press / content creation industry. So most probablly we're seeing very little support in the beggining that grows exponentially. Much like Steem itself.
This is just my take though. Opinions probably biased since I'm definitely a shill for Steem.
WIRED is one of my favorite publications. Seeing Steemit reviewed so well in this has me excited. Oh, and that paragraph you pointed out, @awesomianist… I love it.
