RE: STEEM to be rated by China's Ministry!
Don't know what to make of this. What will they do with the rating? And what ministry will be doing the rating?
damn i wish i can read Chinese as good as i read and write English.
EDIT: Just done reading the source article.... Holy shit it was a fucking nightmare for me to understand it with my sub-par chinese literacy.. this is what i gathered
- The research is spearheaded by a private company called "Cite".
- It is collaborated with various tech experts, professors and research institutes in China.
- It is under the oversight of China Telecommunications Development Research Institute/(Department)?
- The research is to select the best blockchains for different industries within China, including Banking, communications, governance, finance, Transportation etc..
- Cite company will handle all international communication with the organization behind each blockchains.
- They aim to find the best blockchain that has the potential to incorporate AI, Big Data
- All current blockchain are deemed "insuffifiently developed" for their needs, the research aims to select the best blockchains that they can further develop on
- Criteria includes - Most disruptive tech, open source, has an official organization that is easy to communicate with, easy to setup nodes...
- More updates will be relayed via the China Telecommunications Development Research Institute government website.
I can confirm that the term "斯蒂姆币" translates to STEEM. It literally Transliterate to "Szi-Tee-Mu Coin"
Hopefully Steemit.inc can find a way to correspond with them. Of course, i wont put too much hope for anything other than media hype from this...
Thanks for the translation/TLDR! It will be very interesting to see the results from this, and how it will affect the "chosen" blockchain(s).
indeed. I dont think it would directly affect the chosen blockchain in the short term other than probably some media hype. More than likely i think they will try to come up with their own blockchain. Maybe this research is to learn from these open source project and what makes them tick?
But if i am wrong and the whole nation of China decides to adopt a certain blockchain though......
