Steemit Vs Facebook ~ Unemployment Rate in Nigeria Overview
Nigeria is one of the populous countries in west Africa otherwise referred to as the heartbeat of Africa. Rich in natural mineral resources and very large landmarks especially in the northern regions and with Abuja as its federal capital territory. A country that has 36 states, featuring over five hundred different ethnic groups, speaking many different languages with a large population size of about 195.88 million indigenous people as at this 2018.
These are contributing factors that has made it one big resourceful market for both foreign and indigenous companies and investors to coexist. Amidst all these fact, the country remains one of the African countries with relatively high rate of unemployment
Unemployment Rate in Nigeria increased to 18.80 percent in the third quarter of 2017 from 16.20 percent in the second quarter of 2017. Unemployment Rate in Nigeria averaged 10.63 percent from 2006 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 19.70 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009 and a record low of 5.10 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010.
This has led most Nigerian youths in lot of scams and other social media vices in other to earn a living and make ends meet. The big question is, who is to be blamed? The leaders who depends only on oil as source of internal revenue, neglecting agriculture, sports and others empowerment programs that could have contained this high rate of unemployment or the unemployed one who now choose social vices as means to secure their daily bread?
When Zuckerberg lunched Facebook on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellow Harvard College students and roommates, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes, the sole aim had been to unite friends from far and near together in social well being but this same unemployment issue in Nigeria still faught their way into scamming the network and raising lot of dubious act through the Facebook platform. Today, Facebook had enriched mark Zukerberg so well that he has failed to see the need of working on the platform in other to enable its users to earn from their contents and time invested into the Facebook platform.
Everyone that spends money to subscribe to a data plan on a network in other to create good quality contents deserves income rewards which are the things Zuckerberg failed to realized. Hanks to Ned Scott who in his own wisdom, saw this beautiful opportunity and make good use of it, thereby giving people a level play ground to convert tine and intellectual property to earnings.

Steemit today has bridged a serious gap of the initial relatively high unemployment rate in Nigeria today.
